MEDIA ADVISORY: LSC Board to Meet July 20-21

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, DC— The Legal Services Corporation’s Board of Directors and its committees will meet in Seattle on July 20 and 21 for briefings and to act on several matters.

The Board’s Finance Committee will consider and act on revisions to the Corporation’s Fiscal Year 2011 consolidated operating budget, consider recommendations on a temporary operating budget for Fiscal Year 2012, and discuss the Corporation’s budget request for Fiscal Year 2013.

The Promotion and Provision for the Delivery of Legal Services Committee will hear a presentation on the role of client board members from representatives of Florida Rural Legal Services, the Northwest Justice Project, Indiana Legal Services, and the National Legal Aid & Defender Association.
