MEDIA ADVISORY: LSC Board and Finance Committee to Meet September 21
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Washington, DC - The Board of Directors of the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) will meet by telephone at 1 p.m. on September 21.
The Board will take up the Corporation's proposed 2009 Justice Gap Report and elect the Board's next vice chair. Lillian R. BeVier, who served as vice chair, resigned August 24 after serving six years on the Board.
The Finance Committee of the Board also will meet on September 21, starting at 10 a.m. The committee will be presented with the Corporation's recommendation for LSC's Fiscal Year 2011 budget request to the Congress.
Members of the news media and the public who wish to attend the Board meeting or the Finance Committee meeting may join members of the Corporation's staff in the 3rd floor Conference Room of the Corporation, located at 3333 K St., NW, Washington, D.C.
