Special Message from President Biden

I send my warmest greetings to the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) as you celebrate your 50th anniversary.

America is the only country in the world founded on an idea: We are all created equal and deserve to be treated equally throughout our lives. We have never fully lived up to that founding promise, but we've never walked away from it either. That's in no small part thanks to the hardworking people who have comprised LSC for the last 50 years, tirelessly striving for justice, dignity, and fairness for all Americans.

LSC's work has been a light in the lives of millions. Together, you have broken down barriers that too often prevent people from accessing equal justice under law - one of the most sacred principles we have as Americans. In doing so, you have changed lives and helped ensure that the promised enshrined in our founding documents are not just words on a page but a lived reality for all people. 

As you mark this milestone anniversary, I hope you feel deep pride in knowing that your work truly matters. Each of you is uplifting the soul of America - and that's a big part of the reason I've never been more optimistic about the future of this great Nation.
