Lowell Paul is the longest-serving legal aid attorney at Kansas Legal Services (KLS), and maybe across the county, with 51 years of service. His contribution to legal aid began with the Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) that placed him at what was once Legal Aid of Topeka in 1973. After that service, he became a full-time attorney where he has remained as an active part of the KLS legal team. He is the mentor/advisor/professor of all things Kansas law and procedure, with a broad range of knowledge, experience and wisdom that is called upon weekly, and often daily on everything from landlord tenant, paternity, disability and elder rights. He is a dependable leader. Lowell is a tremendous resource to him and so many others.
