Over the next five years, the Arnold & Porter foundation—the philanthropic arm of the top ranked law firm Arnold & Porter LLP—will grant over $250,000 to the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) to fund leadership development for professionals in the field of civil legal aid.
With support from the Arnold & Porter Foundation, LSC has launched the groundbreaking G. Duane Vieth Leadership Development Program. Each year, LSC will award up to 15 grants to leaders of LSC-funded legal aid programs. These grants will ensure that leaders in civil legal aid have the proper skills to effectively manage their nonprofit organizations and continue fighting to ensure our nation’s promise of “Justice for All.”
The program honors Arnold & Porter's former Managing Partner, G. Duane “Bud” Vieth. "It is so appropriate that this program bears Bud Vieth's name," said Jim Sandman, President of LSC. "Bud led Arnold & Porter superbly for 22 years. He is my role model as a leader."
