MEDIA ADVISORY: LSC Board to Meet January 29-30

Washington, DC -- The Legal Services Corporation's Board of Directors will meet at the Corporation's Washington offices at 3333 K Street NW on January 29 and 30 to consider and act on several matters.

The agenda includes a presentation of the Fiscal Year 2009 annual financial audit, consideration of the Corporation's Consolidated Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2010 and other business.

Members of the public who are unable to attend may listen to open sessions of the Board and Board committees by telephone, using the instructions submitted to the Federal Register and posted on the Corporation's website. Download the Federal Register Notice (PDF 290k)

The Corporation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that was established by Congress in 1974 to promote equal access to justice and to ensure civil legal services are available to low-income Americans.  Corporation grants are distributed to 136 nonprofit legal aid programs across the nation.
