MEDIA ADVISORY: LSC Board to Meet January 28-29

Washington, DC—The Legal Services Corporation’s Board of Directors will meet at the Corporation’s Washington offices at 3333 K Street NW on January 28-29 for briefings and to act on several matters.

The Board’s agenda includes a presentation of the Fiscal Year 2010 annual financial audit and consideration of the Corporation’s Revised Temporary Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2011.

Members of the public who are unable to attend may listen to open sessions of the Board and Board committees by telephone, using the instructions submitted to the Federal Register and posted on the Corporation’s website. Download the Federal Register Notice here.

The Corporation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that was established by Congress in 1974 to promote equal access to justice and to ensure civil legal services are available to low-income Americans. Corporation grants are distributed to 136 nonprofit legal aid programs across the nation.
