Chief Information Officer Peter Campbell has served at LSC since January of 2013. He oversees the technology strategy and department, looking for ways to maximize efficiency, improve communications, and further the work of LSC and the civil legal aid programs that we fund.
Campbell is an experienced technologist dedicated to serving the public. Prior to working at LSC, Campbell spent five years as IT Director at Earthjustice, a nonprofit environmental law firm; seven years as VP Technology at Goodwill Industries of San Francisco; and fifteen years at commercial law firms in San Francisco. Campbell has been managing technology for non-profits and law firms for close to 30 years, and has a broad knowledge of systems, email and the web.
In 2003, Campbell won a "Top Technology Innovator" award from InfoWorld for developing a retail reporting system for Goodwill thrift. In 2011, he won the Nonprofit Technology Network’s “NTEN award” for his dedication in serving the nonprofit community. From 2010 to 2013, he was an active board member at Idealware, a nonprofit dedicated to helping other nonprofits make good technology choices. In addition to his work at LSC, Campbell blogs on technology at techcafeteria.com, and he is an active speaker and writer in the nonprofit community as a member of NTEN.
